As we believe in the power of nature, all of the Essential Oils we source are of a high-quality standard and 100% pure, free from any additives or synthetics that can cause issues.

We certainly do! We offer a range of Australian Certified Organic products, just send us a message if you can't find something to suit your needs or would like one of our normal blends done as ACO!

‘Therapeutic grade’ is simply a marketing term, commonly used in the industry. There is currently no organization or certifying body that governs the quality of Essential Oils, any company can use the term ‘therapeutic grade’ but does not necessarily hold any formal certification or credibility. When looking for Essential Oils for therapeutic use, it is best to find a company that supplies 100% pure oils and can ensure the quality of their products so as to truly reap the benefits of the oil. The oils we source and use in our products are 100% pure, therefore they do boast therapeutic properties and can be used effectively for therapeutic use in Aromatherapy. 

The oils we use are highly concentrated and powerful oils and have the ability to cause serious harm if ingested without the necessary expertise required - for this reason, ingestion of essential oils is NOT recommended for the general public. This includes all Essential Oil/Carrier Oil products we may stock. 

The International Federation of Aromatherapists that does not recommend ingestion of essential oils unless under the supervision of a Medical Doctor who is also qualified in Clinical Aromatherapy. 

Essential Oils can cause severe negative reactions even topically when incorrected dosage is used, no matter what the brand or how high the quality is. It is always recommended to follow the label instructions or contact a trained medical practitioner with any questions or concerns. 

All Essential Oils should be stored in the dark at a reasonable ambient temperature - 22-24 degrees is best.

Storage in the refrigerator is not recommended as this may cause specific components of the oils to solidify and precipitate thereby rendering the remaining oil less complete (e.g. Citrus Bergamia). Some oils will freeze at relatively high temperatures - in the event that an oil does freeze it must be gently heated until it is fully liquid and be well shaken before being used. 

We run Botanic Synergy from our home at present, and as such do not offer a shopfront. If you are wanting to test or trial oils, please contact us for more information. 

Unfortunately, not at this time. As we run Botanic Synergy from our home, we wish to ensure the safety and privacy of our family, and don't allow for pick-ups.

Each parcel has a tracking number that we will email to you when we send your order so that you can follow up on your delivery. We do offer insurance at check out that you can select for peace of mind. If a parcel has gone missing the first step is to call Australia Post with your tracking details and lodge an enquiry. If Australia Post deem the parcel missing we will be able to arrange for a replacement order or refund to be sent. Please note that if you choose to put an Authority to Leave on your instructions and it is delivered but goes missing, then this will void any and all insurance or compensation from Australia Post.  Please also note that if a package shows as delivered but subsequently goes missing or is stolen this is entirely out of our control and as such Ahimsa Oils will not be liable for refund or replacement of goods sent. Again this would need to be dealt with as an investigation/complaint for the customer to lodge with Australia Post.

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1 - 4 business day.
Freight times vary depending on each state, and the contents of your order (i.e. if your order contains any dangerous goods, it can only travel via road transport). Please refer to our Shipping & Delivery page for estimated freight lead times.
During peak trading times, office closures or busy freight periods (e.g. Christmas and Public Holidays), you may experience a slight delay, however we will endeavor to ensure your package arrives to you as soon as possible. 

These contraindications apply only to direct application of essential oils to the skin which is not advised anyway except for tea tree and lavender. When the plant, plant part or tree part is mentioned it is in reference to essential oils.

• Pregnancy: Avoid using essential oils in first trimester if there are concerns or use only under the direction of a qualified Aromatherapist. In the second trimester caution is still needed however possible 1% massage dilutions of many oils may be beneficial. At this special time caution is warranted. Please refer to the FAQ on pregnancy.
• Children: This is a very complex subject as it also depends on their age. Oils like eucalyptus that are high in 1,8-cineole should be avoided until older and other oils like peppermint that are high in menthol should also be avoided. In addition, it is probably best to avoid the aniseed (Anise / Fennel) oils until your kids start school as they are potential hormone disruptors.
• High Blood Pressure: Generally - Hyssop, Black Pepper, Sage & Clove are mentioned. Robert Tisserand however mentions no scientific validity exists for hypertensive people avoiding the safe use of essential oils.
• Epilepsy: Avoid just to be cautious - Fennel, Hyssop, Eucalyptus, Camphor, Sage, Clary Sage & Peppermint.
• Chronic Kidney Disease: Avoid Juniper Berry and Black Pepper.
• Phototoxicity: Before going into the sun or using tanning beds, avoid Bergamot (unless bergaptene free), Grapefruit, Lime (unless distilled), Lemon, Mandarin and Bitter Orange.

This list is not exhaustive, and we encourage our customers to make their own informed decision after researching. 

We always recommend people with chronic conditions, parents of children (and those furry children-pets), pregnant and lactating mothers and mothers-to-be need to consider the concentrated power of essential oils and always seek advice from their trained healthcare professional if unsure.
